iPad Restore - How to Restore an iPad from Backup?
Using the iPad restore function is part of standard troubleshooting procedure. Restoring your iPad will delete all the data from your iPad, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All settings are restored to their factory condition.
This page shows you how to restore an iPad with ease. Before proceeding to restore from an old backup file, make sure to have a current backup file of your iPad first.
Step-by-step Guide for iPad Restore
Step 1: Download and install the latest version of iTunes, then connect your iPad to your computer
Step 2: Under iTunes Device option, select your iPad >> "Summary" >> "Restore". It will prompt you to make a back up copy of your settings before restoring, select the "Back Up" option
Note: If you have just backed up the device, skip this step.
Step 3: Select the "Restore" option when iTunes prompts you and wait for sometime.
The iPad restore should take about 10-30 minutes, it depends on your computer's speed and the size of the restore. Once the restore process has completed, iPad will reboot and will display a message like below:
Your iPad has been successfully restored…
If you want to restore from a previous backup, follow the above steps and click "restore from Backup".
